America's Cup TV Update

Nerd Alert: If you have ever placed a GoPro camera on your pushpit and thought that it's cutting edge technology, then take a look at what the ACTV folks have in mind for camera systems for the AC45s in Cascais. It's a lot of reading but the short form is:

The AC 45 will have the following components to make up the system
4 x HD Agile camera pods
3 x deck/hull mounted microphones
1 x 5.0 surround sound microphone module
5 x crew radio microphones
1 x TV hub peli case (port hull)
1 x Audio hub peli case (port hull)
Outgoing RF aerial pod (masthead)
2 x radio mic receive aerials (aft camera post)
The components systems
Agile HD camera module

Each AC45 will have four positions as follows:
Camera 1: Bow sprit
Camera 2: Just aft (1 meter or 3.3 feet) from mast step
Camera 3 either/or:
Camera 3P on forward beam inboard of port daggerboard
Camera 3S on forward beam inboard of starboard daggerboard
Camera 4: aft camera mast
