Sequoia Yacht Club Summer #4

August 25, 2014

More beautiful South Bay weather on Saturday surprisingly went more north
than first forecast, starting at a light 7 knots and increasing as high as
18 true with mostly flat water and just a little ebb chop near the end of
racing.

First place in the Spinnaker Division went to Daredevil, Tim Anto's Melges 24; second to Pizote, Noel Bird's Santana 30 and third to Frequent Flyer, Stan Phillips's Farr 30. In the Non-Spinnaker division first went to Ohana, Dan Lockwood's Catalina 36; and second to Iowa, Rick Dalton's Hunter 380.

Congratulations to Tim Anto and Daredevil for clinching first in the Summer Series after four out of five races and to Stan Phillips for securing second. Congratulations also to Dan Lockwood for wrapping up first for the series and to Rick Dalton for second in Non-Spinnaker.

See www.sequoiayc.org for more info and www.jibeset.net for results.
