At dawn on Thursday, Day 27 of the Singlehanded TransPac from San Francisco Bay to Hanalei Bay, the 22-ft Pearson Electra Sparky crossed the finish line under jury rig. Congratulations to Ruben Gabriel! He has broken the record for the longest passage under jury rig in the SSS TransPac (set by General Ken Roper in 2000).
